Power corrupts

Poverty rusts

Power poisons

Poverty weakens

The poor look up to the powerful

The powerful look down to the poor

A slice of bread for the bin,

In the home of the powerful

At times they have no time to eat

They think strategies of staying in power

And forget all about food

A slice of bread for a feast,

In the house of the poor

At times they don’t eat

They only epitomize of their next meal

And endure the hunger harassing their intestines
